Maundy Thursday at Willow Grove

Join us in the sanctuary for a powerful service that will include scripture readings about the last days of Jesus' life and his death on the cross. The choir will present special music. Willow Grove welcomes guest musician Larry Garges playing the flute. The Lord's Supper will be celebrated, and all are invited to participate. The service culminates in a dramatic scene, as the congregation is invited to come forward, to nail their own prayers to a large wooden cross. As the solemn service progresses, lighted candles will gradually be extinguished, and finally the congregation will exit in silence and darkness. A special offering will be taken during the service for the Deacon's Fund, a ministry that enables the church to help people in need throughout the year.
