Meet & Greet Membership Fair - Congregation Beth Israel

Congregation Beth Israel, 18 Shalom Way, Scotch Plains will hold a Meet & Greet Membership Fair today from 9:30 – 11:00am.  This event is open to the community and refreshments will be served.  For more information, contact Davida Berkowitz, Executive Director, at (908) 889-1830.  All are welcome.

Members of Congregation Beth Israel’s Board of Trustees as well as committee chairs will be on hand to discuss what the synagogue has to offer and opportunities for becoming involved in its activities.  Rabbi George Nudell, Cantor Matthew Axelrod and Education Director Elly Bauman will also be available to answer questions about the synagogue and the Religious School.  Congregation Beth Israel boasts approximately 25 active committees, representing a wide range of interests and fulfilling various needs in the synagogue and community at large.  There will be representatives from groups such as: Adult Education; Choir; Israel Support; Men’s Club; Religious School; Ritual; Sisterhood; and Social Action.

 “The Membership Fair is designed for both new and long-time congregants, as well as prospective synagogue members,” said Susan Menaker, Member Relations Co-Chair of Congregation Beth Israel. “There is so much going on at Congregation Beth Israel that even seasoned members may not know about.”
