One Hundred And Fifty Voices Welcome the Winter Solstice

Six choral groups will entertain the community during the Winter Concert on Tuesday, December 21, 7:30 p.m. in the Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School auditorium.

Under the direction of Jan Allen, the full Concert Choir will set the mood with Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening, Hanerot Halalu, and the Bruce Springsteen version of Santa Claus is Comin' to Town.  Las Cantadoras, the women's choir will perform Jing-a-ling, Jing-a-ling by the Andrews Sisters and the Select Choir will ring in the season with Jingle Bells and The Winter's Night.  The Men's Choir will feature Sing Noel and "Something" by the Beatles.  Chamber Choir selections are Pat-a-pan and O Magnum Mysterium, and the Sensations group will entertain the audience with a cappella arrangements of several popular songs.  The evening program will close with the tradition of alumni joining with the Concert Choir on stage to sing The Lord Bless You and Keep You.
