The Scotch Plains and Fanwood Recreation Commissions are sponsoring the 2009 Halloween Celebration.
It kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with "Trunk or Treat" in the Fanwood Library parking lot. That's followed by a parade to La Grande Park at 6:15 p.m. (those participating should line up outside the library at 6 p.m.)
Kids and adults can then participate in a costume contest in the park at 6:45 p.m. Prizes will be awarded.

Finally, the event culminates in a Jack O' Lantern Contest. Those participating should bring their pumpkins to the side of the La Grande Park building by 6 p.m.
Free doughnuts, coffee and cider will be provided.
