Scotch Plains Fanwood HS Hosts Annual Day of Percussion Sat Feb 13

Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School Has Rescheduled its Annual Day of Percussion From Feb 6 to Feb. 13 due to snow. The Day of Percussion is an all-day event that features clinics and performances from professional percussionists as well as high school and college ensembles in New Jersey.
Professional clinicians to attend include Tommy Igoe, who Modern Drummer magazine called "a new drumming power, breathtaking, inventive, and disarmingly strong"; Drum Corps International Hall of Famer Thom Hannum; acclaimed world percussionist for Broadway's "The Lion King" Rolando Morales-Matos; and award-winning concert percussionist Greg Giannascoli.
Raffles, prizes, giveaways, and vendor merchandise will also be on display. The program starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 6:30 p.m. The high school and college groups will perform from 10 a.m. to noon.

Admission is $3 for children 12 and under and $5 for everyone else.
