STARS Theatre Group Opens With Beauty and the Beast Jr.

The Scotch Plains Recreation Commission is pleased to announce that the 2012 STARS Theatre Program will open its season this Friday, June 22, 2012 with their performance of “Beauty and the Beast Jr.”

The performances, which all begin at 3 pm, will run through the weekend, with shows on Saturday June 23rd and finishing up on Sunday June 24th.

All performances will take place at the Alan Augustine Village Green, located adjacent to the Municipal Building at 430 Park Avenue.  Water and light refreshments will be available to purchase at each performance.  Refreshment sales will benefit the STARS Theatre program.

The STARS program, which is in its 6th season, is a program that showcases the acting talents of local youth.  STARS will conclude its 2012 season with performances of “Into the Woods” from July 13th to the 15th on the Alan Augustine Village Green.
