The Carriage House Poetry Series - Fanwood

The Carriage House Poetry Series will present acclaimed author and poet John Wareham on Tuesday, March 15, 2011.  This free performance will begin promptly at 8:00 p.m. in the Patricia M. Kuran Cultural Arts Center on Watson Road, off Martine Avenue, adjacent to Fanwood Borough Hall. (GPS use 75 N. Martine Avenue.)  John Wareham is a leadership psychologist, lecturer, writer and poet whose work transcends genre. His latest work, “Sonnets for Sinners,” published on Valentine’s Day, 2010, examines the inner lives of sinning lovers. His previous work, a bestselling psycho-political thriller, “The President's Therapist,” explored the troubled psyche of the 43rd President of the United States, George W. Bush. Earlier works include “Secrets of a Corporate Headhunter,” a popular business bestseller; “The Anatomy of a Great Executive,” a 13-language reference classic; “Chancey On Top,” a critically acclaimed novel that explores themes of leadership, love and enlightenment; and “How to Break Out of Prison,” a life-changing course that shows how individuals from all walks of life become trapped in mental prisons.

Mr. Wareham draws upon vast experience, having counseled top business leaders on three continents, and, at the other end of the social spectrum, transformed the lives of prison inmates in New York's toughest prisons. His firm, Wareham Associates, specializes in corporate leadership selection and development. He also is the founder and chief executive of The Eagles Foundation of America, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing leaders within the prison population. Mr. Wareham makes his home in New York.

The Carriage House Poetry Series is in its 13th year at the Patricia Kuran Arts Center, an historic Gothic Revival structure that was once a 19th century carriage house, hence the name of the series. The March 15 reading is free and open to the public. An open mic will follow the featured performance.
