The Diaz/Nelson Project

The Mason Gross School of the Arts is hosting master percussionists Javier Diaz (Tarzan, American Symphony Orchestra) and Madeleine Yayodele Nelson (Women of the Calabash, Paul Simon) join a cast of drummers, singers, and dancers to present a multimedia journey from Guinea to Cuba, Peru, the United States, and everywhere in between. Featuring West African master drummers Sekou “Pablo” Dembele and Mangue Sylla, the show highlights the universality of rhythm and movement that can be found in all of us, leaving the audience dancing in their seats.  This event will take place at the Nicholas Music Center
Rutgers University, 85 George Street, New Brunswick , NJ 08906
