Scotch Plains and Fanwood Kids Featured in Upcoming Front & Center Shows

42nd Street will be performed on Jan. 25-27.

 

The Junior and Senior Performing Arts Companies from Front & Center for Performing Arts (located in Springfield) present 42nd Street from Friday, January 25th through Sunday, January 27th at the Ridge Performing Arts Center in Basking Ridge (268 South Finley Avenue). Tickets are $20 and $25 and can be purchased online at www.ridgepac.com. They can also be purchased at the door.

42nd Street is a big, bold musical set in 1933 that celebrates the stuff that dreams are made of. The amazingly talented actors in Front & Center’s Junior and Senior Performing Arts Company will perform 42nd Street on Friday, January 25 at 7:30 pm, Saturday, January 26 at 2 pm and 7:30 pm and Sunday, January 27, at 1:30 pm.

The cast features Westfield, Scotch Plains, Cranford and Fanwood kids, Maddie Hudelson, Olivia Whitehouse, Allison Miller, Olivia Ruhnke, and Celeste Palermo.

This year’s show, produced by Page O’Connor, with artistic direction by Renee Palermo, and choreography by Julie Lira, features 82 of Front & Center’s young performers ranging in age from 6 to 18.

Entering its eleventh year, Front & Center for Performing Arts (www.front-n-center.com, 973-258-1123), located at 95 Victory Road in Springfield, offers classes for children in dance, drama, voice, and musical theater at all skill levels and provides the opportunity to grow artistically in a nurturing, fun, and family-oriented environment.
