Who Will Win and Who Got Snubbed? Oscar 2012 Nominees Announced

Tell us in the comments and vote in the poll! What do you think about this year's nominees?

Awards season is here! For all you film buffs out there, the Oscars are more than a chance to guess who will end up on the best/worst dressed list, or who will burst into tears during an acceptance speech. Patch is calling on local connoisseurs of the moving image, block buster addicts, and walking encyclopedias of the history of film.

Who do you think got snubbed at the Oscars? Sick of seeing Meryl Streep on the list of nominees or entranced by her picture perfect depiction of the Iron Lady? Disappointed that the last Harry Potter film left Dan Radcliffe without a best actor nod? What about Leo? Should he have garnered an Oscar nod for his riveting performance in "J. Edgar?" How about Hollywood’s hot new starlet Emma Stone?

In addition, who do you think didn’t deserve a nod? Should "Mike and Molly’s" Melissa McCarthy really have gotten the coveted Supporting Actress nomination for her role in "Bridesmaids?"

Find out what's happening in Scotch Plains-Fanwoodwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

Check out the complete list of nominees below and tell us in the comments what you think about this year’s selection. Who will win and who will walk away without a golden statue? Vote in the poll and let us know what A-list film should walk away with the Best Picture award!
