A handsome young fellow looking for a forever home.

We are pleased to introduce Dudley, a 10-month old hound mix who is waiting for you to fall in love.

Dudley has made quite a trip from a neglectful home in WV to his new foster home at Brendan's Meadows Rescue. He is a bundle of energy and a snuggle hog. Dudley is receiving obedience training on Tuesday evenings in Union and is progressing well with learning manners and general obedience. He has two sessions remaining.

In his foster home, his training is being reinforced. He's learning about personal space and that people are not meant to be walked across like a bridge! He's just an adorable, energetic boy who needs a loving, energetic family to share his enthusiasm for life! Dudley likes other dogs, although he is a bit of a rough and tumble guy.  With socialization he will learn to play gently. He reminds us of a 5-year-old boy who comes home covered in grass stains and a dirty face after a day at the play ground.

Dudley is initially a bit shy but quickly warms up, loves people and loves attention.  He is alert and a good watch dog. He is smart and eager to please which will help to support his obedience and leash training. A fenced yard and/or regular walks will keep Dudley healthy and help to expend that puppy energy.  Experienced dog owners know that exercise is the key to a happy, well-behaved dog. Dudley is a kisser and a hugger but not a lap dog. If you'll let him, he'll snuggle in for the night and keep your toes warm.

Dudley has seen our veterinarian, had a general check-up, and is up to date on vaccinations, etc.

Please contact our adoption coordinator, Christi, to make a date to meet Dudley just in time for Valentine's Day!
