Celebrate St. Paddy's at Flannery's Annual Fundraising Festival

Capture the Luck of the Fanwood Irish on Saturday with Bagpipes, Irish Dancers, Live Music and 500 Pounds of Corn Beef.

With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner, Fanwood’s very own Irish Pub is gearing up to launch the second annual St. Patty’s Day Fundraiser for youth sports. , co-owner of  is predicting that  as many as 4,000 local residents will come out to hear the sound of bag pips, live bands, and witness Irish Dancers turn the North Side of the Fanwood Train Station into a sea of Irish splendor.

Large white tents are already being set up on the North side of the Fanwood Train station. The event will begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday and last until 10 p.m. Although the Guinness is guaranteed to flow, Walter stated that there will be plenty of entertainment for local families.

“This year, we will have double the bands, more clowns, more entertainment, and plenty of food beer. We ordered 500 pounds of corn beef to cook up for the event,” Walter said. “Sean and I invite you to come out, have some fun and support the kids.”

In addition to four live bands, a chorus of Irish dance teams, and clowns, there will also be a tricky tray and face painting. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Fanwood and Scotch Plains Little League and PAL sports. You can purchase tickets in advance for $7 from Little League players or at Flannery’s Pub. Tickets at the gate will be $10. All food and beverages will be sold for $5 or under. Keep an eye out for the camera crew from Patch to have your St. Patty’s Day Fundraiser photo posted on the site!
