TGI Friday's in Watchung

Hi!  I am fifth-grader Avital A., from Scotch Plains.  As I peeked over my mother's shoulder at the restaurant reviews, I realized that they were five to eight paragraphs long and told about everything on the menu with what it cost.  But as a kid, that's not what I want to know.  My restaurant reviews have things kids need to know (not prices!) in one to five "smiley face" ratings with comments, making it easy to just look at and know where to go.  I hope my tidbits are helpful and enjoy your dinner! :-)

Friday's is good for kids because it has booster seats, the waiters are always very nice and the environment is pretty awesome.  There is lots of cool stuff to look at on the walls – my brother's favorite is the Millennium Falcon.  It is a busy place though, so the wait for food is normally a little while.  I give it 4 out of 5.

Normally I skip past the kid's menu and head for my favorite dish, the gyoza.  I am definitely NOT a picky eater.  My brother always orders his ribs from the kids menu which he finishes before I finish my first bite.  He sure loves his ribs!

This is kid food heaven!  They have mac and cheese, hamburgers, chicken fingers and everything in between!  This is definitely a 5 smiley face restaurant for picky eaters.  The Jack Daniel's chicken is one of my favorites, but I guess that doesn't count in this section.

Once you get past the cheeseburgers and fries, the salads on this menu are really good!  There is an option of mandarin oranges and a salad on the kid's menu but you have to ask other wise the waiters assume you want fries.  This is not too good but I'll give it 3 smiley faces for the salads and other healthy options.

Noisy rating   :-)

This is a pretty loud restaurant!  If you're a kid who doesn't like a lot of noise, then stay away!  From TV's blaring to people yelling, this isn't a restaurant for quiet kids.

Kids Menu Entertainment   :-)

What's on the kids menu is entertaining but I swear it has been the same menu for a year!  I have nearly memorized all the cross word puzzle answers.  It's so annoying!  If you have recently (in the past year) been to this restaurant, don't be surprised if the menu is the exact same as it was before.  This is a definite 1 smiley face.
