The Y Pledge 2014
The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA is open on New Year’s Day from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Y is excited to offer a new wellness program in the New Year!
The Y Pledge is a combination nutrition/weight loss and exercise program that starts on New Year’s Day and continues for 10 weeks. Participants will fill out a pledge card at the start of the program stating what their goals are over the 10 week time frame. Weight, BMI, and body composition will be checked at the beginning of the program. Each week participants will be weighed and progress in their exercise programs monitored by fitness professionals. Weigh-ins are conducted by a Registered Dietitian. Weekly motivational emails will be sent to all which will include recipes, nutrition and fitness tips. For each 10 pounds lost or for meeting your exercise goals for 5 weeks, participants will win a free half hour personal training session or nutrition consult.
