Scotch Tech is one of a handful of blogs going live on the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Patch. The focus of this blog is technology – everything from digital cameras to hybrid cars. If you have a question, drop it to me in an email and I'll answer it in an upcoming post.
My goal is for this blog to answer specific questions asked by Patch readers. If you're looking to buy the perfect digital camera and need advice, just ask. If you want to buy mom the perfect tablet for Mother's Day, this is the place to find the answers. If you want to know whether the Ford Sync is truly better than GM's OnStar service, I can help you out.
Gather up your questions, let me know what you'd like to see in this space, and together we can make this your go-to place for all things Tech. The first post, which will go up tomorrow, investigates ways to better secure yourself online in the wake of the recent data breaches making the news.
Scotch Tech is written by Caleb Cohen. After earning a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh, I have worked for Fortune-100 firms, as well as internet start-ups and small mom-and-pop publishing houses. In 2001, I retired professionally to raise my two boys. Best. Job. Ever. I am still the nerd, geek, techie I always was, perhaps even more so with all the time now on my hands. Many of you know me from town – I am active in ministry at Evangel Church, walk to School One some three times a day and helped with the 2010 Fanwood 5K race.
