5 Things: Baseball Registration, Scrabble and More
The events and issues to keep in mind today.
- Today is the final day to register for Union County's Summer Youth League Baseball, open to boys and girls ages 8 to 15, according to a press release distributed by the county's Office of Public Information. Games are played weekdays in Warinanco Park in Roselle. Those interested can sign up at the Warinanco Park Boat House from 9 a.m. to noon. Each player must bring a $25 registration fee and a birth certificate to sign up.
- The hosts Scrabble for Grownups from 1 to 3 p.m.
- The Westfield Running Company's free weekly summer runs continue this evening at 6:30 p.m.
- "The Connection" breast cancer support group holds its weekly meeting at 6 p.m. in Summit. .
- The Masterwork Chorus performs at the New Jersey Youth Symphony Hall in New Providence at 7:30 p.m.
