5 Things: Cell Tower Hearing, Lecture by Christie's Chief of Staff, Fireside Chat and More

The events and issues to keep in mind today.

  1. The hearing regarding T-Mobile's application to construct a 120-foot cell tower in the parking lot of continues tonight at a special meeting of the Scotch Plains Zoning Board of Adjustment. The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. in the courtroom.
  2. Rich Bagger, Gov. Chris Christie's Chief of Staff and a Westfield resident, visits the Westfield Memorial Library at 7:30 p.m. to deliver a lecture titled, "Managing State Government During Economically Challenging Times." 
  3. The CHILD Organization of Scotch Plains and Fanwood hosts a "Fireside Chat" with Tom Beese, director of student and special services for the Scotch Plains-Fanwood school district. The program runs from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the studio for Scotch Plains TV, located in the basement of the Municipal Building.  
  4. The wraps up its three-part Spring Jewish Film Festival tonight with a screening of "Anita." The film, which is set in Buenos Aires, will be shown at the AMC Loews Theatre in Mountainside, starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $12 for JCC members, students and seniors over 65, $14 for the general public, and $6 for children 12 and younger. .
  5. hosts "District Choral Night," starting at 7:30 p.m. in the school's auditorium.
