5 Things: Flu Shots, Parenting Workshop and More
The events and issues to keep in mind today.
- Fanwood residents can obtain flu shots for $10 in New Providence today from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., courtesy of the Westfield Regional Health Department. The inoculation program is being held at the New Providence Senior Citizens Health Center at 15 East Fourth Street. .
- The hosts a free parenting workshop featuring psychologist Mark Lowenthal, co-author of "Smart Parenting for Smart Kids: Nurturing Your Child's True Potential." The program, ideal for parents with children ages 4 through 12, starts at 7 p.m. .
- Registration of the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA Men's Basketball League is now open. .
- The Scotch Plains Mayor and Township Council hold their monthly conference meeting at 7 p.m. in the Municipal Building courtroom. For the agenda, click the PDF thumbnail at right.
- The Fanwood Mayor and Borough Council hold their monthly agenda meeting at 7:30 p.m. in Borough Hall.
