- If the great outdoors is more your thing, check out "Star Parties," a free night-sky observation session hosted by Amateur Astronomers, Inc., at the Sperry Observatory of Union County College. The program starts at 7 p.m. .
- Jeffrey's of Westfield Bar and Restaurant hosts its sixth annual "Halloween Spooktacular" Friday through Monday. The chef and staff will be in costume, and the interior of the eatery will be transformed into a haunted house, according to th event listing on Patch. The weekend kicks off with a Pama Pomegranate Liqueur Party on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. .
- senior boys compete for the title of "Mr. Spiffy High" at 7 p.m. Admission costs $3, and proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity.
