5 Things: Ice Cream Fundraiser, Mini-Golf Outing, Marching Band Competition and More

  2. The Friends of the Fanwood Memorial Library is preparing to hold its 25th annual book sale. To make donations to the sale, bring items to the recreation building. For drop-off dates and times, .
  3. Families with children ages 4 and younger are invited to Shabbat "Pray and Play" at in Fanwood on Saturday at 10 a.m. . On Sunday, all residents are invited to Double Dipper in Fanwood for "one last taste of summer." Rabbi Joel Abraham and temple president Susan Sedwin will be behind the counter from 3 to 5 p.m. for a fundraiser for Temple Sholom. .
  4. seniors Billy Babis and Ian Johnston hold a mini-golf fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity at the on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Rounds cost $10, and all proceeds will go toward the construction of a home for a low-income family in Greater Plainfield, according to the Patch events page.   5. Fifteen bands will compete in Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School's 13th annual Marching Band Festival on Saturday at 5 p.m. .
