5 Things: Singer-Songwriter Performance, Live Tango, BBQ and Barchu, and More

The events and issues to keep in mind this weekend.

  1. Singer-songwriters Mark Conklin and John Sontag perform at the in Fanwood at 7 p.m.  
  2. in Scotch Plains hosts its second annual "BBQ and Barchu," starting at 6 p.m. Friday on the synagogue's outdoor patio, according to the Patch events page.  The synagogue will also hold a meet-and-greet membership fair from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Sunday. .
  3. Grammy-winning musician Octavio Brunetti and his trio performs Argentine Tango at 8 p.m. Friday in Summit. The event will include a complementary tango class for those new to tango. All levels are welcome, and no partner or experience is necessary. .
