5 Things: 'Too Close to Home,' Free Movie Night, Story Times, Borough Council Meeting

The events and issues to keep in mind today.

  1. Stay tuned for the third installment of "Too Close to Home," the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Patch's series on the ongoing legal fight between Union Catholic Regional High School and its neighbors. For a series overview, including links to parts one and two, .
  2. "Free Movie Night" continues Tuesday at LaGrande Park in Fanwood. This week, the Fanwood Recreation Commission screens the 2010 film, "Romona and Beezus." The movie runs from 8:30 to 10 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets and bug spray. In the event of rain, the event will be held Wednesday.
  3. The Fanwood Memorial Library holds to children's story-times: one for children ages 3 and 4 at 10:30 a.m., and another for children entering grades 4 through 6 at 5 p.m. For more information, visit the library's online calendar.

  5. Fanwood's Mayor and Borough Council hold their monthly regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. in Borough Hall.
