5 Things: Tour of Newark, Concert by Aimee Mann, Passport Fair and More

The events and issues to keep in mind today.

  1. For Patch's morning readers: the Scotch Plains Public Library hosts a free bus and walking tour of Newark with Dr. Clement A. Price titled "Our Cities, Ourselves." The day will include an optional, modestly-priced lunch at one of Newark's notable restaurants.   3. The Amateur Computer Group of New Jersey hosts a Gamers Night from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Scotch Plains Rescue Squad. .
  4. The Visual Arts Center in Summit opens its new exhibition, Re:Design, this evening, and will host a free reception from 6 to 8 p.m. to mark the occasion. The center is located at 68 Elm Street.
  5. The Union County Clerk's office in Westfield hosts a Passport Fair on Saturday from  9 to 3 p.m. to provide passport information to U.S. citizens and to accept passport applications. To download a passport application, click here.
