5 Things: Wine-Tasting Fundraiser, Art Exhibition, Shakespeare and More

The events and issues to keep in mind today.

  1. Union County Freeholder and Fanwood resident Al Mirabella hosts a wine-tasting fundraiser for the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Education Enrichment Foundation, which supports leadership development in the school system. The event runs from 7 to 9 p.m. at Mirabella's home, located at 11 Tillotson Road. 
  2. The works of three local blood donors who are also artists will be exhibited at an opening titled "Visionary Volunteers" at New Jersey Blood Services' Donor Center at 2279 South Avenue in Scotch Plains. The exhibit will run from 5 to 7 p.m. and feature both photography and painting. 
  3. Mary Courtney and Morning Star deliver a free performance of traditional Irish music tonight at the Fanwood memorial library from 7 to 9 p.m. 
  4. The Springfield Public Library hosts a free workshop on social media business strategies. The program runs from 7 to 8 p.m. To learn more, call 973-375-4930.
