St. Patrick's Day Celebration Thursday

Flannery's Pub in Fanwood kicks-off the St. Patrick's Day celebrations in Fanwood on Thursday with bagpipers from 4 to 6 p.m., green beer and more.

The festivities continue Saturday, with a St. Patrick’s Day celebration and fundraiser organized by Flannery's Pub to benefit youth baseball on Saturday. The event, which is rain or shine, runs from 12:30 to 10:30 p.m. on South Avenue in Fanwood. Look for the big-top tent. The day will feature four live bands, Irish dancers, food and drinks and more. 

Tickets cost $5 in advance or $10 at the gate. They can be bought at Flannery's or from athletes in the Police Athletic League, Fanwood Youth Organization or Scotch Plains-Fanwood Little League.

Free Concert in Fanwood: Kenny Woods

Fanwood Memorial Library's Scheduled Events this week:

  • Tuesday, March 15: Painting with Watercolors, starting at 7 p.m. Adults interested in learning the basics will be meeting every Tuesday until April 5. Fanwood artist Jean Rosen will lead the group with tips and techniques in painting with watercolors. Registration is limited. You will need to bring your own supplies.For more information call the library at 908-322-6400.
