St. Patrick's Day Celebration Thursday

Flannery's Pub in Fanwood kicks-off the St. Patrick's Day celebrations in Fanwood on Thursday with bagpipers from 4 to 6 p.m., green beer and more.

Borough Bash Saturday

The festivities continue Saturday, with a St. Patrick’s Day celebration and fundraiser organized by Flannery's Pub to benefit youth baseball on Saturday. The event, which is rain or shine, runs from 12:30 to 10:30 p.m. on South Avenue in Fanwood. Look for the big-top tent. The day will feature four live bands, Irish dancers, food and drinks and more. 

Tickets cost $5 in advance or $10 at the gate. They can be bought at Flannery's or from athletes in the Police Athletic League, Fanwood Youth Organization or Scotch Plains-Fanwood Little League.

• Tuesday, March 15: Painting with Watercolors, starting at 7 p.m. Adults interested in learning the basics will be meeting every Tuesday until April 5. Fanwood artist Jean Rosen will lead the group with tips and techniques in painting with watercolors.
