"Clean Communities" Day April 30
Fanwood hosts its 22nd-annual Clean Communities Day on Saturday, April 30, starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Millennium Clock in downtown Fanwood. Volunteers of all ages are invited to help cleanup the borough at 13 locations. For more information, contact the at 908-322-7404.

Resolve Fundraiser Garage Sale April 30
The Resolve Community Counseling Center hosts a garage sale at the in Scotch Plains on Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

"Memories of Fanwood" Presentation May 1
Ted Bassman, a longtime local resident, will be at the on May 1 at 2 p.m. to speak about growing up in Fanwood and the rise of the businesses along Martine Avenue. Bassman's father owned a deli in Fanwood, which remained a social gathering spot for many years.

JCC Hosts Active-Adult Trip to NYC Museum May 5

Take Part in the Memorial Day Parade
The annual Memorial Day Parade, which goes through Scotch Plains and Fanwood, takes place Monday, May 30. This year's parade commemorates the 70th anniversary of the start of World War II. All area WWII veterans are asked to participate and march in the parade. If you are a vet, contact Don Wussler at 908-889-1709 to register.

Community organizations are also invited to participate. If you have a group that is interested in marching, contact Toni Rollins at 908-322-6700, ext. 1314.
