Free Social Security Seminar in Fanwood, Wednesday May 18
will be hosting a free seminar on Wednesday, May 18 at 2 p.m. at of Fanwood. The topic will be “An Update on Social Security,” with the featured speaker, Mr. Richard Desir, Social Security Administration Public Affairs Specialist. This is a chance to learn about your options when filing for disability, retirement and survivor benefits, as well as when to file for Medicare. After a brief presentation, there will be time for a question-and-answer session to explore your own personal issues and concerns. Library Event – Danielle Steel Researcher talk on Thursday, May 19
Fanwood resident Nancy Eisenbarth will deliver a talk at the on her role as sole research assistant for novelist Danielle Steel. Eisenbarth has worked on 70 of Steel’s novels to date. Red Cross Raffle – Special Offer for Patch Readers
The American Red Cross is holding a raffle for a new Volvo, with a second prize of a Miele appliance package and third prize of two first-class Continental Airline tickets. The drawing is June 9. Only 2,000 tickets will be sold. Tickets normally cost $100 each, but the first 10 Patch readers to enter will receive $10 off their tickets.
