Scotch Plains 9/11 Memorial Collecting Donations
Scotch Plains received a steel beam from the World Trade Center site, and it is being incorporated memorial on the Alan M. Augustine Village Green. . To donate to the memorial fund, visit www.scotchplains911.memorial.com

Scotch Plains Summer Concert Series Announced
The Scotch Plains Cultural Arts Committee has posted the schedule for its summer concert series for 2011. All concerts will be held at the Alan Augustine Park stage, on the side of the Municipal Building on Park Avenue. Most events are on Thursday nights, with the exception of National Night Out, which takes place Tuesday, Aug. 2.

Fanwood Seeks Sustainability Volunteers
The Borough of Fanwood has signed up to partner with Sustainable Jersey, a certification program for NJ municipalities to go “green”, save money and take steps to sustain a quality of life for the long term. A committee of volunteers is being sought to work on the borough’s plans and actions. Government Offices Closed Monday for Fourth of July
Monday, July 4, is a Federal Holiday. All Fanwood and Scotch Plains municipal offices will be closed. Residents are asked to leave the fireworks to the professionals – there are free fireworks shows in many of our surrounding towns. Stay tuned for a list of Fourth of July events.
