Brief: Temple Sholom Hosts Open House

The Reform congregation, located in Fanwood, welcomes prospective members.

, a Reform Jewish congregation on Martine Avenue in Fanwood, hosts an open house Sunday for those interested in joining the congregation, according to a press release distributed by the temple. The event takes place from 4 to 6 p.m. at the home of one of the temple's congregants. Children are welcome.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet current members, clergy and leaders, as well as the temple's educational programs for all ages. To learn more or to register, call 908-889-4900 or email sholom@sholomnj.org.

The temple and its religious school are home to about 250 families from the greater Scotch Plains-Fanwood area, according to the press release. It is located within the , but has purchased five acres of land on Lake Avenue in Scotch Plains for its future home.
