Down the Shore: Where to Catch a Fireworks Show
Headed south for the Fourth of July weekend? Check out where you can find fireworks near the beach.
Scotch Plains and Fanwood do not host fireworks shows. Locally, you can check out fireworks displays on Monday in Clark, Cranford or Mountainside. But if you're headed to the shore, consider taking in this Fourth of July hallmark at any of the following locations:
Hazlet Township, July 1, rain date July 8. The Annual Independence Day Fireworks is back on, through private donations. From Veteran’s Memorial Park. 1766 Union Avenue, Hazlet, NJ.
Atlantic Highlands, July 1, rain date July 2: Independence Day Fireworks at the harbor and Fireman's Fair. At the harbor.

Colts Neck, July 1: Colts Neck Country Fair and Fireworks, at the park on Bucks Mill Road, Colts Neck. Fair runs 4 - 11 p.m. Free parking with $4 per person entry fee. 732-462-8500.

Red Bank Fireworks on the Navesink, July 3, with Kaboom Fest running July 1-3. This year viewing at the Riverside Gardens location is limited to 2,000 people with tickets: $10 per person, $5 under 10 years old. Purchase by June 27 to ensure delivery. Gates open at 2 p.m. Fireworks launched from two barge locations. Live music. 732-842-7337.
Bradley Beach: July 3, Fireworks Display will be held on Brinley Avenue Beach. 732-776-2999.
Rumson, at Salt Creek Grille, July 3, A great place to watch the Kaboom Fireworks show. All-inclusive tickets include parking, dinner, music and an open bar. $100 for adults, $70 for ages 12- 12 and $50 for anyone under 12. 4 Bingham Ave., Rumson. 7 p.m. July 3, 2011. 732-933-9272
