Early Getaway Train Service Starts at 1 p.m.
NJ Transit will be adding trains from New York for those leaving early for the holiday weekend.
NJ Transit is offering early getaway service for people who are planning to work early Friday for the holiday weekend.
There will be extra outbound trains from New York Penn Station starting at 1 p.m. on the Raritan Valley line, which serves the Fanwood and Westfield train stations.
There also will be additional trains on the Morris & Essex, Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast, Pascack Valley and Port Jervis lines. There also will be extra buses from the Port Authority Bust Terminal starting at noon. More details can be found on the NJ Transit website.

On Sunday and Monday, trains will operate on a weekend/major holiday schedule on all lines.
