Family Named Scotch Plains' Top Holiday Decorators
The Scotch Plains Junior Women's Club announced the winners of this year's contest Thursday night.
Five hundred strings of lights in varying colors. Presents, reindeer, a snowman and a nativity scene.
All of those decorations don the yard of Scotch Plains' residents Mike and Peg Giezey, and according to the Scotch Plains Junior Women's Club, the display is quite impressive.
The Giezey's were named the winners of the club's annual Holiday House Decorating Contest on Thursday night.

Members of the club presented the family with a lawn sign to proclaim their winning title. The Giezeys won in the club's "traditional" category. Typically, another home is also awarded the "Clark Griswold" category, but the contest didn't have enough participants this year.
Mike Giezey said that he really enjoys hanging the lights and that winning the contest was simply an added bonus. He said it takes his family typically three to four days to hang the them.
