Five Things: Council Meetings, Music Boosters and More
The events and issues to keep in mind today.
- The Scotch Plains and Fanwood town councils each meet tonight. The Scotch Plains Township Council meets for a conference session at 7 p.m. on the second floor of the Municipal Building, then reconvenes for its regular session at 8:30. The Fanwood Borough Council meets at 7:30 p.m. at Borough Hall. Stay tuned for the agendas.
- The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Music Boosters Association meets at 8 p.m. tonight at . fifth- and sixth-grade bands and choirs hold their winter concerts this evening, starting at 7 p.m.
- holds a meeting for parents whose students compete in winter sports. The meeting is scheduled from 7 to 8 p.m.
- For the cigar aficionado in your family, create and paint a cigar box at the Westfield Public Library, a two-part program taking place today and tomorrow. The event will be led by Shari Seltzer and will be held in the meeting room. For more information and to sign-up, visit wmlnj.org.
- Explore current events "through the lens of faith" in an adult education series titled "Faith and the Front Page," taking place at First Congregational Church in Westfield. The session starts at 7:30 p.m. First Congregational Church is located at 125 Elmer Street.
