High Holy Day Services in Scotch Plains and Fanwood

A schedule of the Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services taking place at Temple Sholom and Congregation Beth Israel. Non-members may attend certain Temple Sholom services by calling ahead.

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year and the first of the High Holy Days, starts at sundown Wednesday, and continues through Friday. Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement, which involves an abstinence from work, food and drink, starts at sundown next Friday, Sept. 17.

Here is a schedule of the High Holy Day services taking place at Temple Sholom and Congregation Beth Israel, the two synagogues in Scotch Plains and Fanwood. Only temple members will be admitted, but non-members may attend certain services at Temple Sholom by calling ahead.
