Hot Day, Hazardous Air

An air quality alert has been issued for the area.

Monday's expected to be one of the hottest days we've had in Scotch Plains and Fanwood this summer.

On that note, the National Weather Service has issued an air quality alert for Union County until 10 p.m. The service says that ground level ozone within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards.

Temperatures are predicted to be in the low 90s today. Expect lots of humidity as well.
