NJ.com: NJ Gas Prices Hit $2.50

Prices are still lower than other states.

AAA Mid-Atlantic told the AP that the average price of regular gasoline reached $2.51 in New Jersey on Sunday, up from $2.15 a month ago, but lower than $3.99 in 2008. 

New Jersey's prices are still much lower than they are elsewhere, though. Currently, the average cost for a gallon of gas in New Jersey is the fourth cheapest in the nation.
