Photos: One Brick Short Rocks Downtown

The classic rock band performed in Alan M. Augustine Park Thursday evening.

Classic rock tunes filled the air of downtown Scotch Plains Thursday evening.

A large crowd of all ages turned out to see "One Brick Short" perform. Adults socialized and grooved on the lawn of Alan M. Augustine Park, while children danced excitedly at the front of the stage.

The concert was the fourth in the Scotch Plains Cultural Arts Committee's summer concert series. Next week's performances include the winner of the Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School Battle of the Bands and original rock band Goodman Brown

Remember, next week's show will be on Tuesday night, instead of Thursday, as the township celebrates National Night Out. Sponsored nationally by the National Association of Town Watch, the event is meant to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in anticrime programs, and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.

Take a look at the photos on the right for a view of last night's concert.
