Post-Irene Local Roads Update

Fanwood Mayor Colleen Mahr plans to address residents at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

  • Lamberts Mill Road
  • Rahway Road
  • The Martine Avenue Extension
  • Rahway Road
  • Raritan Road near Terrill Road
  • Fenimore Drive

In Fanwood, the following streets were closed:

Both Marion and Mahr declined to estimate when the roads may be re-opened. "The DPW guys have been going at it since last night," Marion said. "We're doing everything that we can with the resources that we have. We'll make things happen as soon as we can."

Mahr noted that Union County remains under a state of emergency, and that all non-emergency vehicles are urged to remain off the road. She added that she will address residents through the Union County First Alert system at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
