Santa Claus is Coming to Fanwood

On Dec. 2, Fanwood will hold its holiday celebration at the train station. On Dec. 15, Santa will go door-to-door to deliver gifts.

Now that Thanksgiving has passed, the winter holidays are quickly approaching and on Dec. 2, Santa Claus will visit Fanwoodians at the North Avenue train station.

Bring the kids for the annual Fanwood holiday celebration!

Holiday wreaths have already appeared to line the light posts throughout town and the only thing left to do to put the town in full holiday swing is light the tree on the main lawn.

Starting at 3 p.m. children are able to take a free photo with Santa during his visit. Other activities will be provided such as, holiday music, crafts, refreshments and contests.

The holiday celebration will commence when Mayor Colleen Mahr lights the Fanwood Christmas Tree at 5 p.m.

The event is presented by the Fanwood Recreation Commission.

Also, on Nov. 28 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. is the annual Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree lighting.

Santa's door-to-door journey will take place on Dec. 15 starting at 11 a.m. Santa will visit Fanwood homes to deliver gifts. Gift drop off will begin on Dec. 2.

This is an annual tradition made possible by volunteers from the Fanwood Fire Department, the Rescue Squad and PBA Local 123. You can find the rules and schedule, here.
