Scotch Plains Blotter: Car Stolen From Katherine Street Driveway

Theft

January 25, 2013: A resident of Katherine Street reported being a victim of a Theft.  He stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) stole his vehicle which was parked in the driveway.

January 25, 2013: The manager of a Terrill Road restaurant reported being a victim of a Burglary.  She stated sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) entered the restaurant.  Entrance was through a rear window.  Once inside the suspect(s) removed several hundred dollars in cash.

January 26, 2013: A resident of Country Club Lane reported being a victim of a Theft.  She stated sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) removed two bikes that were left on her deck.  The bikes were valued at approximately $600.

Crime

January 26, 2013: A resident of Rivervale Court reported that sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) hit his vehicle and drove away.  The vehicle was legally parked in front of his house when it was struck.        

Arrests

January 26, 2013: Thomas McGuire, 34, of Queens N.Y. was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Officer VonLangen stopped McGuire for a motor vehicle violation on Park Avenue and while speaking with him he smelled a strong odor of alcohol.  After McGuire failed several field sobriety tests he was placed under arrest. He was arrested and transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released.

January 27, 2013: Karsi Barksdale, 25, of Plainfield was arrested for a $1,631 outstanding warrant out of Scotch Plains court.  Officer Aversa stopped Barsdale for a motor vehicle violation on Terrill Road and discovered the warrant.  He transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released.


January 28, 2013: Quron Doxen, 18, of South Plainfield was arrested for a $207 outstanding warrant out of Piscataway court.  Officer Alvarez-Diaz stopped Doxen for a motor vehicle violation and discovered the warrant.  He was transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released.
