SPPD Curbs Indecent Exposure, Drug Possession

Recent arrests in Scotch Plains include indecent exposure, possession of marijuana, outstanding warrants.

 

 

Criminal Mischief

On April 17, a Fieldcrest Drive resident reported an act of criminal mischief. The victim stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) broke the mirror to his vehicle while it was parked in front of his house.

Burglary

On April 17, a Route 22 restaurant was burglarized. The manager of the restaurant stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) entered the restaurant and removed a T.V. valued at approximately $500. Entrance was gained by breaking the window with a brick.

Theft

On April 18, a theft occurred at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School. A student stated that he left his phone valued at $400 in his bag during class and when he returned, the phone was gone. 

On April 19, a Warren Street resident reported a theft. The victim stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) entered his vehicle while it was parked in his driveway. Once inside the suspect(s) removed several pieces of fishing equipment worth approximately $300.  Entrance was gained through an unlocked door.

On April 21, a theft occurred on Mountain Avenue. The victim stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) entered her vehicle while it was parked in the street. Once inside the suspect(s) removed a GPS worth approximately $150. Entrance was gained through an unlocked door

Arrests

Isabel Gomez, 21, of Berkeley Heights, was arrested on April 22 for urinating in public. While on routine patrol, Officer Ostrowski pulled into the lot of a Park Avenue restaurant and observed Gomez urinating.  She was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters where she was processed and released. 

Matthew Bowen, 23, of Berkeley Heights, was arrested on April 17, for possession of marijuana. Officer Von Langen stopped Bowen for a motor vehicle violation on Park Avenue and observed the marijuana in the vehicle while speaking with the defendant. Bowen was placed under arrest, transported to Police Headquarters, processed and released.

Kyle Santoro, 19, of South Plainfield, was arrested on April 17, for possession of marijuana. Officer Luciano stopped Santoro for a motor vehicle violation on Ashbrook Drive and observed the marijuana in the vehicle while speaking with the defendant. Santoro was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters, processed and released.

Daniel Kalisky, 30, of Fanwood, was arrested on April 17, for a $290 outstanding warrant issued by the Union court.  Officer Mahoney stopped Kalisky for a motor vehicle violation on Park Avenue and discovered the warrant.  Kalisky was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released.       

Alexander Goodson, 40, of Newark, was arrested on April 19, for a $1,100 outstanding warrant issued by the Scotch Plains court. Officer Lavery stopped Goodson for motor vehicle violation on Route 22 and discovered the warrant.  Goodson was transported to Police Headquarters where he was processed and released.
