Tour Notable Homes and Benefit the Arts on Saturday

A fundraiser for the Westfield Symphony Orchestra showcases local history and architecture.

Tour historically- and architecturally-significant homes in Westfield, Berkeley Heights and Summit on Saturday, as part of the Westfield Symphony Orchestra's 27th annual "Tour of Notable Homes."

In Berkeley Heights, the tour will stop at the home of former Yankees first baseman Steve Balboni. His house features large, Italian-style rooms designed by Henry Bacon that reflect Balboni's heritage.

Bacon, who crafted the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., was also the architect behind the featured house in Summit. The home incorporates rare hand-carved wood, ionic pilasters and custom chandeliers.
