Union County Summer Arts Series Starts This Week

The first show will be held July 1 in Mountainside.

Union County's Summer Arts Festival kicks off July 1 with a free performance by Verdict at Echo Lake Park in Mountainside.

Verdict is a Neptune-based band that specializes in reggae, soca and calypso music. The band has previously played in exotic locales like Miami and San Juan, and also in the halls of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The Summer Arts Festival concerts are held throughout July and August on 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. The location of this summer’s concerts will alternate each week between Echo Lake Park in Mountainside and Oak Ridge Park in Clark.

In the event of rain, the concerts will be held in the auditorium at Cranford High School.
