Gov. Corzine Joins U.S. Secretary of Education at Fanwood Library

The two are currently having a conversation with regional librarians.

New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine has joined U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan in his visit to the Fanwood Memorial Library this afternoon.

The two leaders are currently partaking in a conversation with regional librarians about the state of libraries in the U.S.

Assemblywoman Linda Stender, Fanwood Mayor Colleen Mahr, and the president of the American Libraries Association are also present, among many others.

After the librarians' meeting, Duncan will read a story to local children.

Fanwood police have most roads, that lead to the library, blocked off with barricades, so anyone trying to travel down parts of North Avenue, Midway Avenue and other through streets should plan to take a detour.
