What's Happening This Week in Scotch Plains and Fanwood

Monday

Looking to join yoga? The Yoga and Healing Center in Scotch Plains has a special for new students. Each new student pays a discounted rate of $39 a month for unlimited yoga classes (excludes hot yoga). This deal is ongoing. The Yoga and Healing Center is located at 1744 East Second Street.

Tuesday

The Scotch Plains Township Council will meet at 7 p.m. at the Municipal Building.

The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Board of Education will hold their annual reorganization meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the BOE main offices located on Evergreen Avenue and Cedar Street.

Wednesday

Nursery Rhyme Time takes place every Wednesday at the Fanwood Memorial Library. Children have the opportunity to indulge in literary activity while accompanied with an adult. The event takes place at 11:15 a.m.

Thursday

The JCC of Scotch Plains is holding an event titled, “Get Cooking with Mama Doni” at 7 p.m. for $8. Mama Doni will talk to participants about the Jewish calendar holidays and how to cook and celebrate for them. Copies of her book will also be available for $18.

Friday

At 7 p.m. on Friday, Club West will hold a business-networking event for small business owners. The club will also help inform everyone present on ways to get fit, healthy and on track for the New Year. Club West is located at 222 South Avenue in Fanwood.

Saturday

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday Bigg Playdate will be holding their indoor farmer’s market featuring plenty of food vendors both from the summer market and new vendors.  The market takes place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 1730 East Second Street in Scotch Plains.
