What's Up With That? Road Work On South Martine Avenue

If you're wondering what Fanwood's Department of Public Works is up to on South Martine Avenue near King Street, crew members say they're tying new gas lines into an existing main.

The department has parts of South Martine Avenue lined with orange cones Monday afternoon to direct traffic around the project, which is right near the Fanwood-Scotch Plains border.

An official from public works told Patch that the project has been ongoing for about a month, and that the department expects it to continue for at least another month-and-a-half.
