Where To Charge and Stay Warm In and Around SP-F

A list of charging and warming locations for residents still without power.

As most of Fanwood and all of Scotch Plains are still without power, many residents are in need of a place to warm up and charge their cell phones and other devices.

The following locations are available to charge devices:

  • Fanwood Memorial Library, North Avenue and Tillotson Road (Sat and Sun, Nov. 3 and 4, 9AM-5PM, 20 minute limit, WIFI also available)

 

  • Fanwood Rescue Squad, 123 Watson Road (Sat and Sun, Nov. 3 and 4, 9AM-5PM, 40 minute limit)

  • Evangel Church, 1251 Terrill Road, Scotch Plains (Sunday, Nov. 4, 9AM-2PM, church services at 9AM and 11AM, hot drinks and food, supplies or families in need)

 

  • Scotch Hills Country Club is scheduled to be open as a warming center and a place to recharge cell phones, etc.

  • The lobby adjacent to the Police Department in the Municipal building is also open as a charging station.

 

Places available as warming stations:

  • Chelsea Senior Living, 295 South Avenue (no medical care—a place to sit and be warm, have coffee or tea)

 

  • Fanwood Rescue Squad, 123 Watson Road

 

  • Scotch Hills Country Club is scheduled to be open as a warming center and a place to recharge cell phones, etc.

 


Additionally, the following nearby locations outside of SP-F are available: 

Target in Clark: Charging, Warm with Free WiFi and charging.

Dunkin Donuts in Garwood: Warm and Free Wifi (possibly able to charge)

Cranford Community Center: Warm and charging available.

Bohemian Rasberry in Westfield on South Ave. in Westfield: Charging and warmth.
