Bagels & Lox Brunch with Speaker Jeff Bukantz at Temple Emanu-El

All are welcome Sunday, October 27, at 10:00 a.m. to the Men’s Club Bagels & Lox Brunch at Temple Emanu-El, 756 East Broad Street, Westfield, with speaker, Olympic fencer and author, Jeff Bukantz of Maccabi USA.  Jeff served as the General Chairman of the USA Maccabiah Organizing Committee for the 19th World Maccabiah Games which took place in Israel in July 2013. Bukantz has extensive experience with international sports as an athlete, coach, captain, organizer, referee, and medallist with the USA Olympic Team and Maccabi USA.

The presentation will include the Maccabi USA 7 minute video. Jeff will talk about his involvement in fencing, Maccabi, the Olympics, and trying to follow in his late father Dan's footsteps as described in his book "Closing the Distance."  He will describe his lifelong volunteerism with USA Fencing and Maccabi USA and the contrast of the two organizations and, of course, the relevance of the World Maccabiah Games.

A bagels and lox brunch will be served. Please RSVP to mensclub@tewnj.org.  A suggested contribution of $5 is payable at the door.  Children may attend free of charge.  For more information, please contact Carolyn Shane, Executive Director, at 908-232-6770, ext. 114, cshane@tewnj.org, or visit our website at www.tewnj.org.
