Community Corner

Coat Drive for Needy

Congregation Beth Israel in Scotch Plains will collect
gently-used coats on Sunday, November 24, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The coat drive is open to the community.
A drive-through will be set up and volunteers from Congregation Beth Israel
will be on-hand to collect coats directly from donors’ cars.

The coat drive will benefit Jersey Cares, a non-profit, community-based
organization that mobilizes the collection and distribution of thousands
of winter coats to men, women and children in need.  Congregation Beth Israel’s Social Action
Committee has participated in the Jersey Cares annual coat drive for many
years; the committee collected close to 100 gently used coats last November.
