Scotch Plains Library Career Networking Group: January Program

PLEASE DON’T ASK ME ABOUT MY JOB SEARCH! presented by the Scotch Plains Library’s Career Networking Group on Monday, January 7 @ 6:30pm.

Are your friends, family and neighbors driving you crazy with questions about your job hunt?  Do you feel defensive and irritated when well-meaning acquaintances offer advice?  Are you avoiding people altogether just to escape the dreaded ‘Why don’t you have a job yet?’ question?

Learn how to turn these conversations around and make them work for you.  Presenters Fran McTernan and Nathalie Centinaro use role plays, improvisation and language coaching to show you how to defuse emotional hot buttons and have easier conversations.  You will acquire new networking skills and improve your confidence.  Master the art of transforming that well-intentioned friend into your job search ambassador.
